The Winder Police Departmentext has charged twin brothers Christopher Cormier and William Cormier with murderext, according to a news release. 

The brothers have been in police custody since Mondayext, when a body was found buried in the backyardext of a Sixth Street residence in Winder. The body is believed to be that of Sean Dugas, a 30-year-old Pensacola man and a former reporter for the Pensacola News Journal, who has been missing since September. According to Winder police, a medical examiner declared the case a homicide and well as estimated the time of death to be approximately one month ago.

*Police Charge Two in Burglary Captured on Videoext* – Decatur Patch

Decatur police have made two arrests in a brazen Christmas Eve burglary in Oakhurst that was captured on home security videoext.

Demarco Termeri Riley, 18, of the 900 block of Bolton Road, Atlanta, was charged with burglary Sept. 28 and is now in the DeKalb Jail. A juvenile was arrested several months earlier, said Sgt. Jennifer Ross, a Decatur police investigator.

Ross said police are looking for two other suspects believed to be juveniles.

The burglary at a house on Fayetteville Road caused outrage beyond the borders of Decatur because it was captured on video and posted on YouTube, where it has been viewed about 18,000 times.ext

*Masked Gunman Poses as U.S. Marshal, Robs Coupleext* – Cartersville Patch

A man with two guns apparently impersonated the U.S. Marshals when he walked into a Cartersville woman's home and demanded her and another man's belongings. 

The female victim, 58, told Bartow County Sheriff's Officeext deputies she was sitting on her couch Monday about 7 p.m. when the man holding a gun in his hand and wearing another on his side came into her Saddle Club Drive house, according to the incident report.

The masked man said he was with the U.S. Marshalsext, searched the home and asked the victim if she had her ID and any medications. The gunman—a Caucasian man dressed in dark clothing and wearing a camouflage mask—said he had several other officers around the corner, who would "tear apart her house" if she didn't cooperate, the report says.

*Nurse Sentenced for Drug Sales Two Years After Cherokee Teen's Deathext* – Canton-Sixes Patch

A registered nurse was sentenced to three years in federal prison for selling a Valium-like "party drug" on eBay that was used by an Acworth teen who accidentally died in August 2010 after taking that drug and two others

Matthew Schroeder was sentenced today, Oct. 10, by U.S. Senior District Court Judge J. Owen Forrester for selling phenazepam, which is not approved for sale in the United States. While it is not listed as a controlled substance under federal drug laws, its sale for human consumption is prohibited in the United States except for research under strictly regulated terms.
