National Diabetes Center Announces the First of Its Accredited and Affiliated Practices

Wishing to change the way diabetes is practiced in this country - partly by implementing large simple trials into clinical practice - the National Diabetes Center has announced its presence in the clinical arena led by its former Director of Epidemiology and Clinical Trials, Dr. Ronald Jay Innerfield.

The National Diabetes Center is proud to announce the first of its newly accredited and affiliated practices, Diabetes & Metabolism LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Evidence Based Medicine Inc. In charge and practicing will be the renowned board-certified endocrinologist, Ronald J. Innerfield, MD, a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology. His resume includes (1) the National Diabetes Center, where he was a former Chair of the Epidemiology & Clinical Trials Branch (2) the FDA, where he was a former Primary Medical Reviewer for the Division of Metabolic and Endocrine Drugs at CDER, (3) PharmaNet, where he was a Director of Medical Affairs, (4) Jupiter Hospital, where he was a former Chief of the Department of Medicine and (5) Huntington Hospital where he is currently on the Consulting Staff for Endocrinology in the Department of Medicine. Graduating *cum laude* in Biochemistry from Princeton University, Dr. Innerfield received his MD degree from the NYU School of Medicine. He interned at The Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, did his residency in Internal Medicine at Bellevue Hospital in New York City, and continued his endocrinology fellowship there at Bellevue as well. He is a member of The Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the AMA, and the MSSNY.

He will currently be seeing patients as well as overseeing all medical care delivered through his Diabetes & Metabolism LLC practice. His offices are currently in Massapequa (1066 Hicksville Road), Glen Cove (29 Glen Cove Avenue Suite #108), and Austerlitz (104 East Hill Road). His hours will be strictly by Appointment Only. Initial visits will be a minimum of 2 hours and follow-up visits a minimum of 30 minutes.
