This is Staffordshire -- STOKE City match winner Peter Crouch has flown from the Potteries to London to cheer on his wife Abbey Clancy in tonight's Strictly Come Dancing final. Crouch scored as Stoke beat Aston Villa 2-1 at the Britannia Stadium this afternoon. He celebrated by miming a phone with his hand to make sure Stoke fans called up in support of Abbey in this evening's BBC showpiece. At full time, he told his teammates to make sure they voted as well, then hot-footed his way south. "The manager (Mark Hughes) told us twice today that this was a chance for us to break into the top 10, before the game and at half-time," Crouch said. "It was in our mind and we want to be pushing for a top 10 spot rather than looking over our shoulder. I think we've got the ability and we've shown again today that we've got the character, too. "Now I hope to get down (to the studio) for the result. We're hoping for a great day, me getting a goal and then Abbey getting the win. I hope she wins it. "I'd like to think that I've given her some tips but she's miles better than me. I've only got the robot in my locker!" Abbey opened her evening on the show with a perfect score of 40 out of 40.
