Suspects Wanted in Push-In Robbery Forest Hills, NY --

Police in Forest Hills are seeking two suspects wanted in connection with a push-in robbery at a home near 63rd Drive and Queens Boulevard.

The two suspects posed as electricians on Tuesday afternoon at around 1:30 p.m., saying they needed to survey the home of a 90-year-old local resident.

The victim let the two men inside and they were quickly on top of him, stealing an unknown amount of cash and jewelry before punching him until he fell to the ground.

The victim received a black eye but did not require further medical treatment, police said.

He did not get a good description of the suspects, though a video and photos are attached below from the NYPD. The suspects are between 30-35-years-old.

Heidi Chain, president of the 112 Precinct Community Council, reminds residents not to open the door for unexpected guests posing as official personnel unless they can show proper identification.

If anyone has any information, they are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips at the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COMext or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.

All calls are strictly confidential. Reported by Patch 22 hours ago.
