HEAD teachers, school staff, pupils and parents alike have all pledged their support for Kevin Clifton in tonight's Strictly Come Dancing final.
The Waltham-born dancer made it to the competition's final week with celebrity partner Susanna Reid, and he will find out tonight if he is to pick up the coveted glitter ball trophy.
And this week, it was announced the pair would be part of next year's Live Tour, which arrives in Sheffield on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 28 and 29.
Staff and students from Kevin's former schools, East Ravendale Primary School and Caistor Grammar, have expressed their support for their former star pupil.
Roger Hale, pictured below, head teacher at Caistor Grammar, said: "I remember him well as a student here with his sister Joanne.
"He delighted staff and his fellow students with his talent.
"He was an extremely polite and conscientious student, and always did well academically despite his dancing ambition.
"He has handled himself extremely impressively. Not only has he danced extremely well, he's also presented himself in the media excellently.
"We at Caistor are proud of him and we send our best wishes and votes for the final."
Roger also went on to say that Kevin and his partner Susanna have an excellent chance of winning the competition.
He added: "He's had tremendous public support and he's danced to a very high standard, so he has a very good chance.
"It just goes to show to students here in Grimsby, if you have talent and work hard, your dreams can come true."
Teacher Mr Sunter, who also taught Kevin at Caistor, remembers his time there fondly.
He said: "We wish him all the best for Saturday and hope it's a happy ending.
"From an early age it was obvious he was very talented from all the school events he performed in.
"I'm really pleased it has worked out for him, and we are all rooting for him in the final.
"Even if it doesn't work out this weekend, he's done fantastically well to get to the final."
Deputy head at Caistor, Eddie Cook, said: "I taught him geography while he was here and he was always a smashing lad, really lively and really bright.
"He had the difficult choice of deciding between staying on at sixth form or doing his dancing, and obviously he's made the wrong choice!
"But in all seriousness, we all knew he was going to make it and we wish him good luck for the final."
Kevin first showed his dancing talent while attending the East Ravendale Primary School.
Head teacher at the school Allie Majer said: "We got the old registers out earlier in the week and spotted his name. The kids are really excited. They've been doing dance classes themselves recently and I think they're all inspired.
"We've all been avidly watching and rooting for him, and if he wants to come back here at any time then he's more than welcome."
Sue Farrow, who teaches at the primary school and also taught Kevin, said: "I remember him doing a Michael Jackson impression and it mesmerised everyone.
"He was always a lovely little boy, and he was always a great dancer ever since he was very, very little."
Pupils from the school also said they are excited to see Kevin in action this weekend.
Millie, aged 9, said: "I've watched some of the shows and they were very exciting. I'll definitely be watching and supporting him this weekend."
Lauren, 10, and Paige, 9, both attend Cliftons Dance Academy, run by Kevin's parents Keith and Judy.
Lauren said: "I love dancing, and I always bring my trophies into school to show everybody.
"I watched him on Saturday, and I'll be supporting him in the final."
